Garda work to rule is tarnishing the State’s reputation

Sir, – The behaviour of Irish public sector unions recently has been nothing short of disgraceful. The recent strike caused real hardship to some of the most vulnerable members of our society: the sick and the poor. It was blackmail for selfish gain at the expense of others. The security of the event is being jeopardised and the State’s reputation is being undermined. – Yours, etc,PAUL KILCULLEN,Stillorgan,Dublin.
